About me
Hi, I'm Ibrahim Gamal Msawer. Everyone online knows me as Mesawer.
I'm a Senior Full Stack Engineer and a .NET specialist, originally from Gharbeya, Egypt, now living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I have a Computer Science degree (graduated 2nd in my class, with honors), but I'll be honest with you: 90% of what I know came from self-study. I'm the kind of engineer who reads the docs for fun.
The short version of a long story
I started in 2019 doing agency work: government portals for Saudi authorities, real-estate platforms, e-learning apps, food ordering systems. The kind of work where you learn ten domains in two years because every client is a new world.
Then I went early-stage. At Talabeyah, a B2B e-commerce startup later acquired by MNT-Halan, I rebuilt core commerce modules from scratch: purchasing, pricing, inventory, and the profitability logic the whole team leaned on me to explain.
In 2022 I co-founded QMe Solutions, an AI-based queueing product, as its Technology Manager. We started as a team of two and grew to three teams. We raised $125.5K from accelerators. I made the hard call to step down to cut burn rate, and the company went on to close a $3M seed round and serve 100K+ customers across healthcare, banking, and government.
Since then I've gone deep into enterprise: large governmental projects at LINK Development, then the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) where I led development on core banking systems and became the go-to person for critical bugs and architecture calls. Today I'm a Senior .NET Developer at Elm Company, one of Saudi Arabia's leading digital solutions companies.
On the side, I build AI products, publish open-source libraries with 200K+ downloads, and taught 400+ university students in a semester as a teaching assistant.
What I actually care about
Clean architecture.
Not as a buzzword. As the difference between a codebase you extend and one you fear.
Performance.
I profile before I guess. Slow queries don't survive long around me.
Shipping.
A perfect system that never launches helps nobody. I've slept at a company to hit a release. I don't recommend it, but it tells you how I feel about deadlines.
People.
I've mentored juniors, taught students, and I answer my LinkedIn inbox. Ask me things.
Why "Mesawer"?
It's my family name. It stuck as a brand, so I kept it. You'll find it on my NuGet packages, my GitHub experiments, and this very domain.
